Virginia Lucille Everts Dunster Obituary (1915 - 2006)

Virginia L. Dunster was born October 26, 1915, and passed away on April 27, 2006 at the age of 90 in Orem, Utah after a short illness. Virginia was born in Ogden, Utah, the 12th child of Hendrik W. Everts and Wilhelmina P. Meyer. She married Lowell B. Dunster October 30, 1933 in the Salt Lake Temple. As a young child her family moved to Salt Lake City where she made her home on Lorraine Avenue for many years. The last few years she lived at Legacy Retirement Residence in South Jordan, Utah and at Seville Retirement Residence in Orem, Utah. She worked as a spot welder making television tubes and spent many years working for C Kay Cummings Candies and other candy makers. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and held various church positions. She attended the temple often and worked in the baptistery for many years. She enjoyed crocheting making a variety of items and quilting. She was an avid card player and often played pinochle and Skip-Bo with family and friends. She is survived by her sons, James L. Dunster (Sue) of Dayton, Idaho and Garry E. Dunster (Elaine) of Savannah, Missouri. Also daughters Lucille M. Tullis (Jerry) of Brentwood, Calif., Allien R.Thueson (Neil), and Barbara J. Brown (Don) of Orem, Utah. She had 26 grandchildren and 42 great grandchildren and 2 great, great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, eleven brothers and sisters, and two great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at the Ridgedale Ward chapel, 3400 S. 1100 E. SLC on Tuesday, May 2, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services. A viewing will be held at Jenkins-Soffe South Valley,1007 W. South Jordan Parkway (10600 So.) on Monday, May 1, 2006 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Interment will be in Elysian Burial Gardens, 1075 E. 4580 S. SLC.
