Wallace "Krit" Petty Obituary (1914 - 2007)

“Krit” Wallace Krit Petty, loving husband and father passed away February 13, 2007 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Krit was born Friday the 13th of November, 1914 in Salt Lake City, Utah, the son of Winnieford Tabitha Nicholson and Wallace Roundy Petty. He attended Delta High School and trained at West High School as an aircraft mechanic. Using his training he worked at Hill Field prior to joining the Navy. He proudly served his country for two years during WWII at Pearl Harbor. He married Adeline Beckstead April 24, 1941 in Delta, Utah. They were later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple. Krit owned a barber shop in the Continental Bank Building. He worked for the Continental Bank Corp. as a property trust manager and became a member of the Business Owners and Management Association (BOMA). Krit was talented and created many beautiful things from wood. He is survived by his wife, Adeline; daughters; Becky (Dale) Longmore, Kristine (Kimball) Davis, son Keith (Kimberli), 12 Grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceded in death by his son, Kevin Krit Petty, parents, two brothers and two sisters. Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 17, 2007, 1:00 pm at Jenkins-Soffe South Valley, 1007 W. South Jordan Parkway (10600 So.), where friends and family may call Friday, February 16, 2007 from 6-8 pm and from 11:45-12:45 prior to the service. Interment, South Jordan City Cemetery.
