William (Bill) Henry Shand died on January 22, 2006 surrounded by his loving family.
Bill was born on January 27, 1923 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Louise Wonnacott Shand and David Shand. Bill grew up in Salt Lake attending East High School where he was the Senior Class President and captain of the football team (No. 32). After a brief stint at the University of Utah, Bill enlisted in the Navy at the outbreak of World War II. Proudly serving in the Pacific, Bill was discharged in 1945.

Married for 60 years, Bill and Pete lived in Murray and were blessed with three children. After selling his business, Polar Locker Storage, he worked for the Post Office before retiring and moving to Sun City West, Arizona to enjoy the sun and golf.
