William Ernest "Ernie" Newbold Obituary (1983 - 2013)

William Ernest Newbold passed away February 16, 2013 after a 2-year battle with cancer. He was born on December 31, 1983 to Steven E. Newbold and Crystle Griffin Newbold. Ernie grew up in Murray, Utah. He touched a lot of people throughout his short life. He always had a good spirit despite the challenges he endured. He married his true love, April Atwood, on February 29, 2012. He enjoyed hunting, camping, riding BMX's, and spending time with his family. He loved his loving wife and sons, Joshua & Hunter. The family wants to express their gratitude and thanks to all of his friends and family who have helped out. They also express their thanks to Dr. Gina Cox and staff, as well as to the Hospice nurses and workers for all of their help and care. Survived by his loving wife, April Newbold; sons, Hunter & Joshua Newbold; father, Steve (Susie) Newbold; siblings, Shane (Lisa) Higham, Shad (Teresa) Higham, Shawn (Carla) Higham, Shasten (Katrina) Higham, Kasi (Travis) Burbank; Grandpa Griffin; and the whole Atwood family and Nielsen family; nieces; nephews; aunts; uncles; and several friends and family. Preceded in death by his mother, Crystle; Tom Wyatt; and grandparents. Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 21, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 S. State Street. Viewings will be at the mortuary Wednesday evening from 6-8 p.m. and one hour prior to services on Thursday.
