“Our Beautiful Mom”Our beloved and wonderful Mom, Grandma, Great Grandma & Wife peacefully passed away on Saturday December 24th 2011 in Rigby Idaho at the age of 82 for which she had dealt graciously with dementia and Alzheimer’s. Dad could not bear to see Mom like this any longer and did not want to spend another Christmas alone so he called her home to be reunited with him and receive the greatest Christmas present of all, being with each other again for all eternity. \nMom was born October 25th 1929 in Salt Lake City Utah to Warnell & Vera Workman. She married dad the Love of her Life Keith S. Rodgers November 15th 1952 later solemnized in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple.\nMom & Dad lived below Millcreek Canyon in Salt Lake City Utah for nearly 50 years, until 6 years ago when they decided to move to Ammon Idaho. Mom loved living in Salt Lake and did not want to move to Idaho, she would always say to dad; (“for Hells sake Keith why did we move way up here in this cold dam place”) however after arriving there and getting settled in she met some of the most kind and thoughtful friends and it wasn’t so bad. Mom was an amazing seamstress; she also enjoyed knitting, needlepoint and all kinds of crafts and handwork. She made some of the most beautiful Dolls, blankets, sweaters and crafts. She loved animals and throughout her life always had a small dog, she was seen holding one on her lap even if it wasn’t hers. Mom could play the piano and organ beautifully, and every Christmas we would sit around the piano or organ while she played and sing songs together, even the dog would howl in now and then. The most favorite thing mom use to enjoy was going camping with her children and grandchildren, and traveling in her motorhome with dad, (for which mom drove it everywhere they went) she could pull and back that thing in anywhere, it was her motorhome and she would let you know it.Mom was a wonderful homemaker and very old school; she would always wait on and care for us. She wouldn’t let you do anything and would get mad if you tried. She enjoyed carrying for Dad and all of us and was very supporting in everything we did. Mom always encouraged us to be safe and to do the right thing. Beverly is survived by her children Craig (Pam) Rodgers, Brad (Janet) Rodgers, Becky (Darin) Cook, 13 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, with one more on the way, her Brother Jack Workman and her Dog Pepper. Preceded in death by her Parents, Son Michael Todd Rodgers and Husband Keith S. Rodgers.\n \nFuneral services will be held Saturday, December 31, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 South State Street.
