Carey left us unexpectedly to return to his Heavenly Father on July 3, 2012 after a lingering illness. He was born on February 20, 1957 in Stanley, ND to Clifford and Marion Wold. He attended school until his junior year when he and his family moved to Roosevelt, UT. He graduated high school in 1975. He attended Utah Technical College and received his Associates Degree. He married Robin Williams in 1980 and later divorced. He began his career as an Investment Counselor and later had a position with Ballard City, then Business Consultant and Grant Writer for various Native American communities and the U.S. Government, which he enjoyed very much. Carey was a very talented musician and loved to sing and enjoyed people, camping, fishing, and gem collecting.\n\nCarey is survived by his son Bryan (Dolores) Wold, grandchildren Williams, Brianna, Diane, Alexis and Andy, siblings Chris, Donna, and Diane, special companion Denise Cooper and numerous nieces, nephews, friends and relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents and nephew, Billy Gifford.\n\nMemorial services will be held Monday, July 9, 2012, at 6:30 pm at the Jenkins-Soffe South Valley Chapel, 1007 W. South Jordan Parkway (10600 S), South Jordan, Utah, with viewing and visitation from 5:30-6:30 pm prior to the memorial service.\n\nThe family would like to thank Dr. Heather Jackson and her continued efforts and support.
