Carolyn Mae Horton Butler, May 17th, 1932 ~ April 2nd, 2012, passed from this life peacefully surrounded by her loving family.\n\nCarolyn was born to Clarence Horton and Helen Seybold in Spring Lake, Utah. She married the love of her life, Myron Owen Butler, May 19th, 1951. Her home and heart were always open to those in need, and she has always been surrounded by family and friends who love her. She loved to cook for her family, bake, garden, knit, crochet, paint ceramics, and play “May I”. She was a member of the LDS church.\n\nCarolyn is survived by her six children and their spouses: Michael (Pam) Butler, Sue (Michael) Crookston, Debi (Randy) Dowse, Gay (Brian) Rogers, Sherri (Shane) Engstrum, Tami (Steve) Austin; her brother, Blaine (Dorisa) Horton, and sister-in-law Marjorie McCann. She loved and delighted in her 22 grandchildren and 36 great grandchildren and loved her close friends she called family.\n\nOur angel on earth is now our angel in heaven reunited with her loving husband, “Mike”. She is preceded in death by her sisters Renee and Darlene, a son, Billie Mark Butler, and a great-granddaughter, Emery Crookston.\n\nFuneral services will be held at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 1007 W. South Jordan Parkway, South Jordan, at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, April 6th, with a viewing one hour prior.\n\nSpecial thanks to Brian & Gay Rogers and their family for their constant loving care: Travis, Justin (Katie), Chase (Brittany), and BreAnn (Jon) Jacobson.
