Click HERE to watch Funeral Services for Catherine Crane \r\n\r\nCatherine Mears Mason Crane peacefully passed away in her home surrounded by loved ones on April 25, 2020. She was born on November 21, 1941 in Paisley Renfrew, Scotland to We are experiencing technical difficulties with the live webcast of this service, we apologize to those trying to view it. The funeral is being recorded and we will upload it to this page as soon as we can.\r\n\r\nJessie Watkins and George Mason, and later George William Thomas Mason (Brother) and Linda Mae Mason (Sister) joined their family.\r\n\tShe was a strong beautiful, bright Scottish Lassie with a love for life and her family. She had a keen brilliant mind and won high academic awards in school and played girls basketball for her school team. As she grew, she met the missionaries for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and joined the church along with her mother and brother. Gaining a testimony, she served a local mission amongst her family and friends in Scotland. Wanting to be close to the saints, she came to Salt Lake City, Utah where she met her eternal companion Errol Bruce Crane, and was sealed December 29, 1967 in the Salt Lake Temple. They were blessed with two children, Athena (daughter) and Philip Andrew (son), to join Mitchell Bruce (son) and Lisa (daughter).\r\n\tShe spent her life serving Heavenly Father, family and friends. She devoted her life to genealogy work, temple service and her family. She worked faithfully in the Jordan River Temple for 35 years – one of her most treasured experiences. She adored her children and grandchildren and supported them as they built their talents in sports, music, art, academics, spirituality and family history work. She was a high achiever and strived for excellence in all she did. She was a wonderful seamstress, cook, and was admired for her perfect penmanship.\r\n\tShe is survived by her husband Errol Bruce Crane, daughter Athena Crane Monson – Ariana, Andrew, Austin, Alexis & Annika, son Philip (KaraDawn) Crane – Dallas (Jessica), Joshua, Tiana, Logan & Chase, son Mitchell Bruce Crane, daughter Lisa Crane, brother George (Anne) Mason – Catherine, Scott.\r\nPreceded in death by Jessie Watkins, George Mason and Linda Mae Mason.\r\n\tServices will be held Friday, May 1, 2020 at Jenkins-Soffe South Valley at 1:00 p.m. with a viewing prior. Due to Covid-19, services and viewing will be attended by invitation only. The service will be streamed live on the Jenkins-Soffe website. Interment South Jordan Cemetery.\r\nThe family wished to thank all of the neighbors, friends and medical team that gave so much during her life.
