Clarissa June Card Paswaters

–

Murray, UT

After a lengthy illness, Mom remembered her way home on Feb. 3, 2015. She was born in Park City, Utah, on June 6, 1924, to Walter Clare Card and Louisa Viola Stone Card. Chris was the second of 11 children: Clint, Mom, Leora, Dick, Vivian, Carol, Karma, Ron, Glenda, Don and Gary. She married Jack Oscar Paswaters on Jan. 9, 1946. They are sealed for time and eternity.

Dad described Mom as gentle, tender and kind. She never had cross words, never argued, never criticized or complained. Family will always remember Mom for her unconditional love. Her home was neat and tidy, and all were welcomed with a big smile and a warm hug.

Chris enjoyed reading, vacations and gatherings with family and friends. She was blessed with an artist's touch. She loved to draw, paint and do crafts. Many of her water color and oil paintings are displayed in family homes. One notable achievement was her wallpaper design that was chosen for the Centennial House Celebration in 1947.

Money was never important to Chris. She was content with what she had. She asked for little but gave so much.

Mom is survived by children, Terry (Colleen), Ron (Colette), Colleen (Mike), Lane (Dianne), Joan (Dan), and Wade (Stephanie); 19 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; sisters Vivian, Carol, and Karma; and brothers Don and Gary.

Special thanks go to Ashley and the Legacy staff, and to Brighton Hospice.

A public viewing will be held at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 South State Street, Murray, UT on Monday, Feb. 9, 2015, from 11 a.m. until noon. Interment will be at the Murray City Cemetery.
