Claud P. Walton passed away peacefully at home February 15, 2009, at the age of 84. He was born in Lehi, UT, September 28, 1924 to Jesse Alexander and Clara Bone.\n\nMr. Walton proudly served his country during WWII in the US Navy as a fireman (gunner) on the USS LSM 57 land vessel. He retired from Mountain Fuel Supply after 38 years of dedicated service.\n\nHe was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints as well as the NRA. He loved his country and was a proud Republican!\n\nDad was an avid outdoorsman; he loved to duck hunt, fish, and trained a Dog Trial National Champion. But most of all he was a loving husband, father and grandfather.\n\nMr. Walton was preceded in death by his wife; AvaLee Christensen, and three brothers; Leo Don, Scott Grant and Merlin Bone Walton. He is survived by four sons; Michael Claude (Dawna) of Shreveport, LA, Kelly Paul, Patrick Lee (Debbie) of SanAntonio TX, Dan Jesse (Kaye) and Sandra Walton, 11 grandchildren; Michelle, Jesse, Caroline, Michelle, Stephanie, Teneile, Jessica, Andrew, Kelsey, Cassandra and Weston, 16 great grandchildren, and three brothers; William Keith, Jesse Weston, and Wilford Jay Walton.\n\nGraveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, February 21, 2009 at Elysian Gardens, 1075 E 4580 S Salt Lake City, UT 84117. Inurnment immediately following the service.
