He was born July 15, 1930 in Banida, Idaho to Golden and Virgil Geddes. He graduated from Preston High School in 1948, attended Utah State University and faithfully served in the Ontario Canada Mission. He served in the Korean War and returned to Utah State where he graduated. He married his dear wife Jacqueline Dean and together they had five children. After Jacqueline’s death, he married his sweet wife Kay Nye and joined their families together. \r\n\r\nHe was loved by all who knew him because of his unique ability to love them. Dale was a truly remarkable man. He was a true patriarch and a wonderful example to his family. He was a devoted husband, a loving father, a kind grandfather and a fun great-grandfather. Dale dedicated his life to the service of the Lord, his family and all he knew. He served as bishop of the Murray 15th Ward, and with the members through dedication and sacrifice built the Allendale Ward chapel. He also served as a member of the Stake High Council, High Priest Group Leader and many years in the scouting program. Known for his love of others and inability to sit still, he was always talking with people everywhere he went. Dale enjoyed working in his yard and could often be seen planting, weeding, or just sitting and enjoying its beauty. He loved the outdoors and was truly happy with a fishing pole in his hand. He was very generous, always helping those around him in any way he could.\r\n\r\nDale worked as an educator for over 31 years and served those he taught, coached and mentored. He admired those that he worked with and over the years has followed and kept contact with many that he knew. He will be greatly missed by his many friends and family members. \r\n\r\nDale is survived by his wife Kay Geddes; his children: Debbie (Rob) Johanson, Lori Pili, Brent (Tiina) Geddes, Shelli (Brent) Hilton, Steve (Nichole) Geddes, Valerie (Tracy) Larson, Gary (Kristie) Nye, Troy (Cindy) Nye. 32 Grandchildren, 73 Great Grandchildren.
