“Beloved Husband”\nDavid Richard Davidson, Jr., 80, a gentleman who truly believed in Service Above Self, died on February 28, 2008 due to complications from pneumonia after a long and valiant struggle with heart disease.\nHis struggle was motivated by his incredible devotion and desire to care for his beautiful wife of 58 years, June Buzzell Davidson. She survives, together with two daughters, Kim Davidson Nagle Marston and Susan Davidson Cheney. He was grandfather to nine adored grandchildren, Nicholas Davidson Nagle and his wife Amanda Jane Nagle, Christopher James Nagle and his wife Marisa Nagle, Alexandra (Ali) Alene Nagle, Victoria (Tori) Kim Nagle, Morgan BreAnn Davidson, Jeremy Ryan Cheney, Austin Jordan Cheney, Brandon Wilford Cheney and Dustin Calvin Cheney. He was Great-Pa to Hunter Davidson Nagle, Hailey Moorea Nagle and Emma Makena Nagle. He is survived by his brother, Bruce Hyrum Davidson and sister, Ruth Davidson Williams Benson as well as many loved nieces and nephews.\nDave was born in Los Angeles, California, eldest son of David Richard and Ida May Smith Davidson. He attended Brigham Young University and served his country in the US Navy. He was a past president of the Murray Rotary Club and recipient of the Paul Harris award, and he was well known in the Salt Lake Area for many years in the lumber business and the insurance industry.\nA memorial service will be held to celebrate his life on March 29, 2008 at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 So. State Street, Murray, Utah at 11:00 a.m. We welcome anyone sharing stories about this great man during this celebration of what would have been his 81st birthday.
