David Laird Hansen of Riverton, Utah passed away November 14, 2020 at his home. \r\n\r\nHe was born August 26, 1961 in Biloxi, Mississippi to Ralph Hansen and June Helen Loughridge. He was the 5th of 7 children, the only son born to Ralph and June.\r\n\r\nHe attended schools in California, Nevada, Idaho and then high school in Orem, UT. He was a skilled roofer and completed many jobs in Utah, Montana, Idaho and Alaska. His brother's Norman and Doug were fortunate to be able to complete some of these jobs with him over the years.\r\n\r\nHe was the proud father of 3 children. Christopher, Jessica and Erica. \r\n\r\nHe loved his dog Widget, the outdoors, golfing, rock & roll music, time on his boat, fishing, classic cars and visiting with family and friends. \r\n\r\nHe was always up for a deep and meaningful conversation. \r\n\r\nHe was a good person with a big heart. He will truly be missed!!!!\r\n\r\nHe is survived by his Son- Christopher (Taylor Lakin) Hansen of Draper, Utah, Daughter- Erica Goodbar of Mount Pleasant, Utah, and Daughter- Jessica Nielson of Brigham City, Utah. His Grandson Dax Hansen of Riverton, Utah, his Father Ralph Hansen of Arizona. His Brothers- Craig (Jill) Harding of St. George, Utah, Norman (Dawn) Harding of Whitefish, Montana, Scott Harding of Pocatello, Idaho, Douglas Harding of Ogden, Utah, his Sister- Shelley Nichols of Kalispell, Montana, and his Aunt Vicki Branson of Houston, Texas. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, uncles and cousins as well as step children and grandchildren RJ Zarate, Zach Zarate, Ivy Zarate, Sky Zarate and Bradley Zarate.\r\n\r\nHe was preceded in death by his Wife- Cheryl Hansen, Son- Cameron Hansen, Mother- June Loughridge, Sister- Angie Nichols, Uncle- Howard Branson and Sister-in-law Stefanie Harding\r\n\r\nA graveside service will be held Saturday November 21, 2020 at the Riverton City Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. Services are under the direction of Jenkins-Soffe Funeral Chapels & Cremation Center.
