"Together Again"Della Lue Hardy Stephenson passed away September 20, 2010 of too many birthdays. Mom was born November 7, 1927 in Aldridge, ID to Eva Mary Taylor and John Thomas Hardy, the eighth of nine children. She grew up in Pocatello, ID where she met her sweetheart, Neldin "Steve" Stephenson, at a USO Dance. They were married in Salt Lake City on October 7, 1944 and sealed in the Jordan River Temple on December 27, 1986. Mom was a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers and served in Relief Society and Primary.She enjoyed playing games (especially Rummikub and Pinochle), needlework, had an extensive collection of salt and pepper shakers (over 400) and was an excellent homemaker. She cherished her family above all.She was preceded in death by her loving husband of over 60 years, Neldin, who she has longed for these past five years; and seven siblings. She is survived by her adoring children, Linda (Hal) Moon, Patty (Bob) Davis, Brent (Gayle) Stephenson, Karalee (Kent) Roylance; 18 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and sweet sister, Norma Tolman, of Pocatello, ID.Our family would like to especially thank Karalee and Kent who welcomed Mom into their home and gave her such wonderful care the last four years.A viewing will be held Friday, September 24, 2010, 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Funeral Home, 4760 S State St., Murray. Funeral Services will be Saturday, September 25, 11:00 a.m. at the LDS Chapel, 5555 S. 700 W., Murray, UT. with a viewing from 10-10:45 prior to service.
