Our adored husband, dad, grandpa, son, brother and friend died peacefully at home surrounded by family and friends after a courageous battle with brain cancer on October 16, 2006.\n\nDennis was born March 4, 1962 to David and Elaine Powell in Hunter, Utah. He graduated from Cyprus High School in 1980, where he played quarterback on the football team. He married his high school sweetheart, Diane Davis on September 13, 1980. He loved spending time with his wife and three kids. Dennis never missed any of his daughter’s or wife’s dance shows or any of his son’s sporting events. He worked for Custom Stainless for 25 years as production manager. He also enjoyed playing monster trucks with his grandson, Iszacc, who was his pride and joy. He loved sports, especially coaching little league and enjoyed hunting and the outdoors as well. No one was more loving and courageous than our sweet Dennis.\n\nDennis is preceded in death by his grandparents. He is survived by his wife Diane, daughter, Deja Rolfe (Zach), son, Jeremy, daughter, Ambree, grandson, Iszacc, parents, Four brothers; Jeff (Cindy), Doug (Lauree), Scott (Tammy), Mark (Debbie) and two sisters; Christa (George) Muller, Pam (Jim) Young. Many nieces and nephews as well as countless “adopted” kids and friends. We wish to express eternal appreciation for Harmony Home Hospice and Huntsman Cancer Hospital for giving Dennis a quality of life in his final hours. \n\nFuneral Services will be held Friday, October 20, 2006, 12:00 Noon at the Jordan North 5th Ward, 4100 South Bangerter Highway. Friends and family may call Thursday, October 19, 2006 at Jenkins-Soffe South Valley, 1007 W. South Jordan Parkway (10600 So.) from 6-8 pm and from 11:00-11:45 am Friday at the church. Interment, Valley View Memorial Park. Donations may be made in Dennis’ name at any America First Credit Union.
