With her sweetheart of 70 years and children by her side, Dorothea passed calmly on June 21, 2012 at the age of 91.\n\nShe was born December 5, 1920 to John S. and Vera Brown. Dorothea spent her life in Midvale surrounded by loving family and friends. She graduated from Jordan High School and was a member of the LDS church.\n\nOn July 19, 1942 she married Drew Larsen in Tacoma, Washington. Upon his return from serving in WW II, they made their home in Midvale where she was a wonderful cook and homemaker. Remembered for bread, rolls, pumpkin pies and chocolate chip cookies. She was devoted to Drew. Her life was dedicated to loving her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and was happiest when they were gathered round. Her door was always open and so was her heart.\n\nSurvived by her husband Drew Larsen, children: Allene and Michael Ross, Ron and Judy Larsen, Fred and Kelly Larsen, 8 grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren.\n\nPreceded in death by parents, brother Jack and sister-in-law Fae Brown, and grandson Marc Larsen.\n\nServices will be Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at Jenkins-Soffe South Valley 1007 W. South Jordan Parkway (10600 South) at 11:00 where friends and family may call one hour prior to the service.
