Gary Franke Chamberlain passed away September 20, 2017 in South Jordan, Utah from complications from diabetes. He was born on May 3, 1940 to Ralph Woolley Chamberlain and Helen Franke Chamberlain in Salt Lake City, Utah. He graduated from West High School in Salt Lake City in 1958 and attended the University of Utah. He served an LDS Mission in the Germany South Mission. He married Judith Barlow Murdock on August 15, 1963.\r\n\r\nGary worked for Granite School District in electrical maintenance. He was an electrician in the U.S. Air Force National Guard. He owned his own business, Chamberlain Electric. He also worked for Okland Construction as a quality control manager. He oversaw many large projects in Utah throughout his career and took particular pride in his final project, completing the LDS Conference Center. In retirement, he did maintenance work at the Jordan River Temple.\r\n\r\nGary is survived by his wife Judith B. Murdock Chamberlain, his children David (Kim), Garth, Mike (Traci), Brian (Stephanie), Roger (Jen) and Ann (Mike Stewart); 16 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother Ronald R. (Cheryl) and sister Carol (Marvin Boase).\r\n\r\nViewings will be on Monday, September 25, 2017 from 6:00-8:00 pm at Jenkins-Soffe South Valley, 1007 W. South Jordan Parkway (10600 S), South Jordan, Utah and on Tuesday from 10:00 – 10:45 am prior to the service at the church. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at 11:00 am at the Country Park 3rd Ward, 1988 West 11400 South, South Jordan, Utah. Interment will be on Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at 11:00 am at Mountain View Cemetery, 400 North 500 East, Beaver, Utah.
