Harry R. Erickson passed away on January 6, 2007 from natural causes surrounded by his loving family. He was born on November 9, 1920 in Murray, Utah to Harry Olaf and Maude D. Thompson Erickson.\n\nHe attended Murray High School and lived in the house he built until his passing. He married his sweetheart Phyllis R. Coon on February 6, 1947. Together they had three children, Lynda (Blair) Packer, Vaughn (Michele), Carolyn (Patrick) Swanagan.\n\nHe was a loving grandpa to 19 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren who when ever they walked through the door he made each one of them feel special. Preceded in death by his parents, sister, Carol Rasmussen and great grandson Conner.\t\n\nServed his country in WWII as a Chief Motor Machinist in the Navy for four years. Member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was active in the scouting program. Dad was constantly helping family, friends and neighbors to solve any mechanical dilemma’s they had.\n\nFuneral services will be held Wednesday 12:00 noon at the Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 South State St. where friends may call Tuesday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 11:00 to 11:45 a.m. Interment Valley View Memorial Park.
