Our wonderful, sassy, stylin’ mother, grandmother aunt, sister and friend passed away peacefully at home on September 16, 2011 after a short battle with pancreatic cancer.\n\nShe was born in Menan, Idaho to Adam Rennie and Viva Rasband Rennie on May 22, 1930. She married her sweetheart, Glendon Lemaun Stringham on June 24, 1953 in the Idaho Falls temple, and we are thrilled that she has now been reunited with him after 19 long years.\n\nShe attended Utah State University and Brigham Young University and cheered the BYU Cougars on for every game. She enjoyed working many years with the Idaho and Utah State legislatures.\n\nShe was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served for many years as Young Women’s President, Relief Society President and many other callings throughout her life. She and Glen served an LDS mission in Raleigh, North Carolina.\n\nShe will be greatly missed, but always remembered, by many nieces, nephews and grandchildren who have treasured their time with their favorite Aunt Izzy and Grandma.\n\nHer beautiful spirit will always be part of us and we thank her for her influence that has made us into strong, capable, loving people. We want to thank her for the life lessons she has taught us. She is an excellent example of the power and influence one good woman can have over so many.\n\nShe is survived by her children, Greg (Patti) Stringham, Lesli (Phil) Anderson, Kathy Stringham, Jana (Jim) Buchanan, and Kris Stringham, and 14 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and her sisters, Jean Wakeman (Las Vegas) and Lois Baker (Wendell) (Idaho Falls).\n\nFuneral services will be held Wednesday, September 21 at 11:00 am, River 10th LDS Ward, 1570 West 11400 South, South Jordan Utah. Friends may call Tuesday, September 20, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Jenkins-Soffe South Valley, 1007 W. So. Jordan Parkway (10600 S.), South Jordan, Utah and Wednesday, 10:00 – 10:45 prior to the service.
