Ivy Cardwell Page Obituary (1915 - 2012)

Our loving mother passed away peacefully on Dec. 5, 2012 at the age of 97 after a long life filled with many blessings. Ivy was born Oct. 1, 1915 the daughter of William Henry Cardwell and Ethel Lillian Hibberd, the first born of 11 children. Ivy married Walter “Gwynne” Page on Dec. 9th 1935 in the Salt Lake Temple and began their 70 years of life together on their Bluffdale farm. Working side by side raising chicken, fox, mink, horses, and Shetland ponies. She loved working side by side in their flower and vegetable gardens. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints serving in many callings. With her husband they served in the Ohio, Cleveland mission. Mom loved her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Survived by children: LeRoy (Darlene),Alpine, Jay (Peggy), Bluffdale, Nola (Chuck) Hobbs, American Fork, Wilma (Jerry) Wilkinson, Cumming, GA, Carolyn (Mike) Bergstrom, West Jordan, a sister Annie Joy (Ted) Shinsel, sister-in-law Fern Cardwell, brothers-in-law Morris (Jane) Page, Bob Page, 27 grandchildren, many great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband, parents, 7 brothers: Bob, Bill, Dale, Lowell, Dan, Marty, John, 2 sisters: Verna Lloyd, Ethel Bennett, 4 grandchildren: Sherie Lee Woodward, Holly Dawn Woodward, Vonnie Page, and Wendy Wilkinson. Funeral Services will be held Thursday December 20th at 11:00 am at the Bluffdale 7th Ward Chapel located at 14662 S. 3200 West, with a viewing from 10:00 to 10:45 prior to the services. Interment Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park South Valley.
