Jack Paul Bingham, age 74 of West Jordan, Utah passed away on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at St. Marks Hospital of Salt Lake City, Utah due to complications of Diabetes.\r\n\r\nHe was born October 22, 1943 to Wilbur Perry and Alice Fisher Bingham. He married Cheryl McKinney in March of 1962 in Vernal, Utah. They have four children, Jana Glines, John Bingham, Juli (Steve) Anderson, and Jeff (Tamara) Bingham all of West Jordan, Utah. He also has two other children Melanie Kalis of West Valley and Juli Bertola of West Jordan, Utah.\r\n\r\nHe attended Central Elementary, Vernal Jr. High and Uintah High School where he was a state champion wrestler in his senior year. He went to California for meat cutting school but returned to Utah where he worked for Albertsons, Smiths, Harmons, and Waremart. He belonged to the Carpenters Union where he worked in the construction trade for over 10 years. In 1982 He started 5J Auto where he rebuilt cars and trucks. Ford Rangers were his specialty.\r\n\r\nHe was a jack of all trades; he taught his children how to work and the value of a dollar. His hobbies consisted of chickens, pigeons and ducks. He loved country music most of all Johnny Cash and Merle Haggard. He loved to play the guitar and sing on holidays to his children and grandchildren. He was an avid teaser and loved to tell jokes to anyone who he would encounter. He loved ice cream and sharing it with his grandchildren.\r\n\r\nHe is preceded in death by his parents, nephew Terry Reynolds, grandparents, many aunts and uncles. He is survived by his wife Cheryl Bingham, Children: Jana, John, Juli, Jeff, Melanie & Juli. Siblings: Marc & Debbie of Orem Utah, Scott & Debbie Bingham of Vernal Utah, Susan Boren of Vernal Utah, Bonnie & Craig Scharf of Boulder Wyoming. He had 14 Grandchildren and 14 Great grandchildren.\r\n\r\nViewing will be held on Wednesday, May 30th from 5:00 - 6:30pm, commemoration ceremony will immediately follow from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe South Valley, 1007 W. South Jordan Parkway (10600 S), South Jordan, Utah. The burial will be held on Thursday, May 31, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at 6600 Dry Fork Cemetery Road, Vernal Utah.
