“Woodenshoe”Jack was taken from family and friends on Feb. 10, 2010, due to ongoing medical problems. He was born on February 2, 1938 in Salt Lake City, Utah.He was greeted by his mother and father, George and Eva; brother, Jerry; son, Jack Scott; and the love of his life, Dorothy Van Gerven. Many other family members have preceded him in death.Survived by children, Sherrie (Ron) Mirabelli, Chris Nelson, Joni (Spencer) Clark, Kelly (Doug) Newman, and son, Steven (Terrie) Van Gerven. Jack had 17 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren—they will love and always remember their grandpa Jack.Jack took great pride in his construction company. He was very dedicated and poured his heart and soul into J & M Construction for most of his life.His greatest passion was his antique cars. They were a big part of his life. He founded many great friendships thru his cars. They gave him great enjoyment and pride.He was stubborn, but a caring and giving person helping many people along the way. We would like to thank you for that, Jack. He will be missed and never forgotten by those who knew and loved him. Rest in Peace, “you deserve it”.
