“Mom”Jennie Thacker Bleazard died December 17, 2010 in Murray, Utah. She was born February 24, 1928 in Roosevelt, Utah, the 10th child of 14 born to Rawlins Thacker and Zella Wright. Jennie was raised in Altamont, Utah. She married Fred Walker Bleazard February 4, 1944 in Duchesne, Utah. Fred and Jennie moved to Murray in 1952 where they raised their family.Jennie helped her husband Fred build up a successful construction business. She was an outstanding housekeeper and loved to keep her home clean and neat. Her green thumb kept her yard and home a masterpiece in the summer. She loved gardening and could grow just about anything. Her flowers bloomed from early spring to late fall and were always beautiful. Jennie took a floral arrangement class where she excelled with her talent. She made many beautiful flower arrangements with both fresh flowers from her yard and silk flowers. She was also an outstanding cook. Anyone who was fortunate enough to get a piece of her homemade bread or cinnamon rolls, or her “Mountain Home” cakes, remember what a treat they were. Above everything, Jennie loved her family. When her husband, Fred, got sick, Jennie tenderly cared and nursed him for eight years until his death in 1990.Jennie is survived by her children: Linda (Don) Gardner, Wayne (Sherry) Bleazard, Shawna (Tom) Evans, and Joe (Angie) Bleazard. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great granddaughter; sisters Veda Jorgensen and Belva Fieldsted.The family would like to extend their thanks to the staff and management of the Beehive House in Draper.Services will be held Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at 11:00 am at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 S. State St. in Murray. A viewing will be held Monday, December 20, 2010 from 6-8 pm and one hour prior to services on Tuesday. Interment Murray City Cemetery.
