Joyce was born November 16, 1910 in Riverton, Utah, to Gwynne Page and Mary Jensen, and passed away May 26, 2007 at the age of 96.\n\nJoyce worked from the age of 12 to 18 for her grandfather, Thomas Phillips Page, at the Page Hansen Store in Riverton where she swept floors, dressed windows and dished up ice cream confections. She graduated with honors from Jordan High School in 1930 and married Theodore Nephi Hutchings a few days later on June 4, 1930. She and Ted built a home in South Jordan where they lived and reared a family. Joyce and Ted divorced in 1951. Ted died September 26, 2001.\n\t\nHer father offered her a position at Riverton Motor doing office work. She worked there for 26 years and enjoyed her fellow co-workers.\n\nOn April 3, 1964 Joyce married Wendell Grover in Elko, Nevada. Wendell passed away July 29, 1968.\n\nJoyce has served in various Church callings throughout her life such as: stake young women’s president, stake missionary, counselor in ward Relief Society and teacher. She served as PTA president in South Jordan Elementary and Riverton Junior High, and PTA counselor at Jordan High School. After retiring from Riverton Motor she started making quilts for her family. Some years she made 20 quilts and gave them away as presents to her grandchildren and great grandchildren.\n\nIn 1992 Joyce moved into the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Gloria and Vere Berrett of South Jordan until she passed away.\n\nShe is survived by her children Juan (Darlena) Hutchings of South Jordan, Gloria (Vere) Berrett of South Jordan, Gary (Joyce) Hutchings of Taylorsville, Gayle (Tom) Dimond of Big Bear City, California. Her siblings Don (Eleanor) Page of Murray, LaJuanna (Huck) Adelt of St. George. She has 22 grandchildren, 75 great grandchildren and 34 great great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her brother, Waldo Page, and sisters Bernice Hutchings and Gwen Shulsen and three grandchildren.\n\nFriends may call at Jenkins-Soffe South Valley located at 1007 West on South Jordan Parkway (10600 So.) Tuesday evening May 29 from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday May 30 at 11:00 a.m. at the Parkway Stake Center located at 9894 S. 2700 W, South Jordan. A viewing will be held 1 hour prior to the service.
