A million times I’ve needed you, a million times I’ve cried\r\nIf love alone could have saved you, you never would have died.\r\nIn life I loved you dearly, in death I love you still.\r\nIn my heart you hold a place, no one else can ever fill.\r\nIt broke my heart to lose you, but you didn’t go alone.\r\nPart of me went with you, the day God took you home.\r\n\r\nOn March 9, 2019 our beloved wife, mother, daughter and sister Kaloni Naeata Pittman Taumoha’apai ran home to the loving arms of our Heavenly Father after a courageous battle against Ovarian, multiple myeloma cancer.\r\n\r\nKaloni was born on November 2, 1971 in Salt Lake City, Utah, the daughter of Litea Kinikini and Tangi Vainga Kimoana Naeata. Kaloni grew up in Salt Lake City and absolutely loved life and family.\r\n\r\nIn 1995 Kaloni welcomed her pride and joy Alexander Naeata Pittman into the world. Alex was her everything, her whole world. Kaloni was a single mother for 4 years when unexpectedly in 2000 she met and fell in love with Sione Misa Ngaluma’a Taumoha’apai. In 2008 Misa’s sister Toiahi and brother in law Sevia Tuikolongahau blessed Kaloni and Misa with Melesiapua Rigina to raise as their own. Kaloni was always so proud to show off Alex and Mele. She loved being a mother and even through her struggles her children were what silenced the noise in this crazy world.\r\n\r\nKaloni had her fair share of struggles behind the scenes, but she always made an effort to be present at family gatherings. Kaloni fought many battles and suffered an abundance of tribulations throughout her life, she always remained the same soft spoken, genuine, and kind-hearted woman through it all.\r\n\r\nSurvived by her husband Sione Misa; son, Alexander; daughter, Mele; mother, Litea Kinikini Naeata; brother, Siosaia Naeata (wife Malia) and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.\r\n\r\nA special thanks and so much love is sent out to Taumoha’apai family for all their love, patience and kindness they showed our sister Kaloni. \r\n\r\nFamily and friends are welcomed to come share loving thoughts of Kaloni at a viewing on Friday, March 15, 2019 from 8 am to 11 am Jenkins-Soffe Funeral Home located 1007 West South Jordan Parkway, South Jordan, Utah 84095.
