1946 ~ 2017\r\n\r\nKathryn Anne Vane Young Lee passed away July 6, 2017. She was born March 30, 1946 in Salt Lake City, Utah as an only child to Harry Eugene and Frances Sugden Vane. She graduated from East High School where she was a graduation speaker. She also graduated from the University of Utah where she was a member of the Phi Mu sorority.\r\nShe loved performing on the stage. She spent many years as the heroine in the melodramas in Park City at the Silver Wheel Theatre (now the Egyptian). She took her love of theatre to her students in the Murray, Granite, and Jordan School Districts where she taught classes and directed many plays.\r\nKathy married Gordon W. Young; later divorced. She married Robert P. Lee; later divorced. She is survived by her daughter, Daisy (Paul) Richardson and two grandchildren, Penelope and Atticus.\r\nKathy appreciated all her opportunities to travel with her husbands and her companion, Bob Safford. Who would have suspected she’d ride a Harley? She also appreciated all her neighbors, especially the Gotberg family who helped her so much over the years with all her illnesses. We would like to thank Quality Hospice, especially McKinzie & Tricia for all of their help during her last few weeks. Kathy hopes there is theatre and cats in heaven.\r\nFuneral services will be held Tuesday, July 11, 2017, at 1:00 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 South State Street, Murray, Utah with an evening viewing from 6-8 p.m. on Monday, July 10th and prior to services Tuesday from 12:00-12:45 p.m. Interment: Salt Lake City Cemetery.
