Our beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend passed away peacefully at home on July 12, 2017.\r\nLee was born in Union, Utah to Allen Earl and Viola Hilton. He was the oldest of 7 children. He graduated from Jordan High School. Soon after that his family moved to Murray, Utah.\r\nHe would go on to serve a full-time LDS Mission, ranging all the way from Rawlings, WY to Santa Fe, NM. After his mission, he was drafted into the Army. He was later sent to the Korean War, where he drew aerial maps. Upon returning home from the war, he met and married Janice Shepherd who was the love of his life. They built a home in Murray where they raised their four children.\r\nLee was an avid ice skater. He could skate as well backwards as he could forwards. He also loved baseball and for years served as the W.B.B.A. President. He loved the LDS church and would go on to serve as the Bishop of Murray 25th Ward. Lee also loved boating, fishing, swimming, and watching any kind of sports. But most of all he loved his family. He will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.\r\nHe was preceded in death by his wife, Janice; his parents; three brothers; and one sister. He is survived by his four children: Annette (Brad), Kevin (Elizabeth), Brent (Shelli), and Natalie; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one brother, Rodney Hilton; and one sister, Rosalie Bills. \r\nA viewing will be held on Friday, July 21st from 6:00-8:00 pm at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 S. State Street Murray, Utah 84107. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 22nd at 11:00 am, with a viewing one hour prior at the Murray 25th LDS Ward, 160 E. 4600 So., Murray, Utah\r\n84107.
