Lois C. Denne

Lois passed away Sunday, June 13, 2010 after a life of love and service to others. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bud Denne. She is the final member of a dynamic family that consisted of her parents, Martin and Louisa Mauss Christensen and seven brothers and two sisters.

She served as secretary to Governor Herbert B. Maw 1942-48, secretary to the Utah Industrial Commission 1950-54. She retired after 20 years of service with General Motors to dedicate her time to helping others. Many children will reverence her name for the hours of individual teaching she gave them to help them learn to read. Her volunteer service will be remembered not only by the children but by their parents, their teachers and school administrators. A host of nieces and nephews will remember her for her great love and many services to them.

A celebration of her life service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, June 18, 2010 at the Millcreek Stake Center at 4200 South 420 East.
