Lorene (Lori) Walker Hansen died peacefully at LDS Hospital, surrounded by her loving family, October 14, 2006.\nLori was born September 2, 1932 in Salt Lake City to Hy Walker and Martha Anne Neff Walker. She grew up in East Millcreek and graduated from Granite High School. Lori worked most of her adult life, but her greatest talents were those recognized by her family. She was a wonderful wife, mother, homemaker and cook, and she surrounded her family with selfless love, beauty and laughter.\nLori is survived by her husband, Wayne Hansen, four children: Garth Deverall, Craig (Nanette) Deverall, Cindy Judd, and Bill (Paulee) Deverall, five stepchildren: Cory (Karen) Hansen, Roger Hansen, Michele (Tim) Timmerman, Layne Hansen and Sharon Goldsmith, 27 grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brother Steven H. Walker, sisters Lila Mae Barker and Camille Greenfield. Lori also leaves behind many nieces and nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Anita Wille.\nA beautiful, bright light has been dimmed and Lori will be missed by all those who loved her and whose lives she has touched. She is Wayne’s love.\nFuneral will be held Thursday October 19, 2006 at 11:00 am at Jenkins-Soffe South Valley, 1007 W. South Jordan Pkwy. (10600 S). A viewing will be held Wednesday from 6-8 pm and 1 hour prior to the service on Thursday. Interment Mountain View Memorial.
