Lynnette Nielson Romney, age 68, died on June 7, 2011 in her home surrounded by her loving family. Born May 29, 1943 to Theron LeRoy Nielson and Marjorie Brown Nielson. Married Edward Clark Romney December 9, 1963 in the Salt Lake City Temple.\n\nMom was an avid BYU football fan and loved going to the games. She enjoyed four wheeling, baking, vacationing, snowmobiling with her husband, fireworks, and most of all spending time with her family. She always put her family first.\nMom had the best sense of humor that could make anyone laugh. Her sarcasm and light heartedness helped others focus on the positive things of life. She had a gift of uplifting all around her just by being in her presence.\n\nMom showed compassion to everyone she knew. She always thought of how she could make someone's day better and showed a genuine interest in the well- being of others. This spirit of compassion poured out in her various church callings and drew in an innumerable amount of friends.\n\nShe was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend and was loved by all who knew her.\n\nPreceded in death by her parents and her eternal companion Edward. Survived by her children: Brent (Emiko), David (Rachel), Susan, Christine (Jeremy), Michael (Allyson), and her ten wonderful grandchildren.\n\nFuneral services will be held on Monday, June 13 at 11:00 AM at the Wesley Road Chapel in Salt Lake at 5235 South Wesley Road (1200 East). Viewings will be held Sunday, June 12 at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary (4760 South State Street) from 5-7 PM, and Monday, June 13 from 9:30-10:30 AM at the Wesley Road Chapel. Interment at Murray City Cemetery.
