“Nana”\n\nRev. Marilyn “Camille” Cheadle Sawaya died in her mother’s home surrounded by those who love her on September 15, 2006, after a brief struggle with cancer.\n\nCamille was born the eldest child to Edward and Marilyn Cheadle in Abilene, Texas, on November 8, 1952. She was employed by Professional Recruiters for over 20 years, where she was in management, worked in accounting and systems administration. She was a very good friend to those she worked with. She was ordained a deacon in the Episcopal Church in 1998 and touched countless lives through her home visits to the sick and the aged. \n\nShe was preceded in death by her father and sister Shelly Borrodel. She is survived by mother Marilyn Cheadle, her siblings Edward (Carolyn) Cheadle, Debbie (Carl) Cheadle, Arthur (Ersa) Cheadle, Nancy(Pat) Higginson, Finney (Trisha) Cheadle, her children Cheryl (Steven) Shoop, and Keith (Sarah) Sawaya, and her grandchildren Ruthann, James, Kristen, Stephanie, Jordan and the “New Little Bit”, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. \n\nCamille was simply one of the most generous and loving people on the face of the earth. She loved her family and friends dearly, and took care of them all, no matter what it cost her. She always wanted the best for everyone, and gave everything she had to make certain her family was happy. She was a wonderful woman who persevered in all aspects of her life. \n\nCamille’s family thanks the LDS Hospital, Community Nursing, and to all those who helped make her last days better for everyone. \n\nFuneral services will be held at St. James Episcopal Church, 7486 S. Union Park Avenue (1300 E.), on Thursday, September 21 at 11:00 a.m. Immediately followed by her inurnment at the St. James Columbarium and a celebration of her life.\n\nPlease bring your favorite pictures of Camille to the service.
