Mary Merrill Carroll passed from this life on July 30, 2011 after a long and courageous battle with liver disease.\n\nMary was born in Murray, UT February 17, 1966, the youngest child of Lewis and Renee Merrill. She graduated from Murray High School and attended Salt Lake Community College and the University of Phoenix. Mary played softball and was an avid sports fan. She was active in her LDS faith and served in various callings throughout her life.\n\nMary is survived by her 2 daughters Jamie and Makayla Carroll, her mother Renee Merrill, siblings David (Diane) Merrill, Janet (Roger) Denney, Robyn (Ken) Wright, Liz Drake, Robert Merrill, Nathan (Shauna) Merrill, and Paul (Laura) Merrill, as well as many loving nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her father and siblings Douglas and Jenee.\n\nThe family would like to express gratitude to IMED Hospital, the Liver Transplant Team, and the many doctors and nurses who have cared for Mary through the last several years.\n\nA viewing will be held Friday, August 5th from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary on 4760 South State Street, Murray, UT. Services will be held at the LDS Church on Saturday, August 6th at 1:00 pm on 495 East 5600 South., Murray, UT with a viewing 1 hour prior. Interment: Sandy City Cemetery.
