Olga (Cora) Aris Ortiz Gomez\r\nAugust 15, 1951 to December 22, 2020\r\n \r\nOlga Aris Ortiz Gomez, our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend passed away prematurely on December 22, 2020 with her daughter’s in attendance. \r\nOlga was born on August 15, 1951 in Salt Lake City Utah to Julio and Lupe Ortiz. \r\n \r\nOlga is survived by her son Raymond Ortiz, Daughter’s Alice Ortiz, Angel Ortiz, and Sonya Taosoga, sister’s Juanita Ortiz, Guadalupe Ortiz, Joan Ortiz, Pauline Sprague, Julia (Richard) Garcia. Bacilia Eggington (Duff), brother Julio Ortiz (Jennifer), 11 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, as well as many nephew’s, niece’s, and friends. Olga was preceded in death by her mother, Guadalupe Ortiz, father, Julio Ortiz Capeles, brother Andres “Tut” Ortiz, and her son Che Cordova.\r\n \r\nOlga was a graduate of South High School, in Salt Lake City, UT. She was a feisty & spirited woman who was very adventurous and had a wide variety of interest. She loved traveling, dancing, listening to oldie’s, cooking, gardening, fishing, and serving other’s. Olga was a devout Catholic who attended Mass regularly. Olga worked at Walmart for 15 years, where she was a leader and worked in various roles until her retirement. Later in life Olga dedicated a significant amount of time working for The Salvation Army. \r\n \r\nOlga shared a special bond with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. After her retirement, Olga enjoyed doing art’s and craft’s, and puzzles. She spent a great amount of time caring for her great-grandson Zedekiah and took him on many adventures. Olga will be missed dearly by so many of us that loved her.\r\n \r\nA small Funeral Mass, Celebration will be held at The Sacred Heart Catholic Church 946 S. 200 E., Salt Lake City, UT on Monday, January 25, 2021 at 12:00 p.m.
