“Go Bears!”\n\nOur loving husband, father, grandpa, uncle, and dear friend Pete Van Lieshout passed away peacefully at home October 2, 2006. Pete was born in Haarlem, Holland on February 16, 1945 to Gerard and Sara Van Lieshout. He immigrated to the United States in 1954, and settled in Salt Lake City, Utah. He married his soul mate Anita Strong on April 17, 1965 in Evanston, Wyoming.\n\nPete loved music of all kinds. He was proud of his record collection and was an enthusiastic trivia buff. He was crazy about football and was an avid Chicago Bears fan. He liked playing games with family and friends, especially with his grandchildren whom he truly adored. He also enjoyed traveling with his wife.\n\nPete had a great passion for work and had an exceptional work ethic. During his many years at Condies Foods and at his most recent employer, Historical Arts & Casting, he made numerous life-long friendships. He and his wife also owned and operated CompuSigns for four years.\n\nPete is survived by his loving wife Anita; two daughters Michele (Topher) Acree and Mary (Shane) Carlsen; five grandchildren Jadyn, Kacie, and Bode Carlsen, Taylor and Tyson Acree. He is preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Henk and Gerard, and his dear friends Travis and Dennis.\n\nA memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 7, 2006 at the Harvest Park 2nd Ward, 4501 W 11800 S in Riverton, Utah.
