“Becky”\nRebecca Kelsay Rice, age 63, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by all her loved ones after her second battle with cancer, a brain tumor, on October 9, 2008.\nShe was born on July 29, 1945 in Fulton, Missouri to Garland and Dessie Kelsay (both deceased). She was raised in Mexico, Missouri with three brothers and one sister; Dave Kelsay (deceased), Mike Kelsay, Tim Kelsay and Deanna George. She moved to Salt Lake City, Utah at the age of 18 where she met and married Dennis Demar Rice (deceased) on June 28, 1965.\nShe was known for her sharp wit and zany sense of humor. She loved life and loved to laugh. She enjoyed swimming in the ocean with dolphins and spending time with family and friends. She had a passion for horses and horseback riding. She had a talent for poetry and was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend.\n"If love could have saved you, you would have lived forever."\n"We all miss you so much already. The world is an emptier place without you in it."\nShe is survived by her companion and partner of 17 years, Kenneth Holm; her daughter Angie Rice; and her sons Wade Rice and Ryan Rice. She is also survived by her five grandchildren; Kelsay, McKenzie, Nicholas, Kristina and Jessica.\nMemorial services will be held at Jenkins-Soffe South Valley, located at 1007 West South Jordan Parkway (10600 South), South Jordan, Utah on Wednesday, October 15, 2008, 11:00 am with a visitation from 9-11am prior to the service. \nIn lieu of flowers donations are being accepted.
