“Ruthie”\nOn March 5, 2007, a very special soul was returned to the loving arms of her mother, Marian L. Fletcher Sanderson and her Aunt Ruth. The sudden passing of Ruth Marie Sanderson Masnica has left our hearts aching and our minds searching for answers.\nRuth was born June 16, 1959, to Marian Louise Fletcher Sanderson—a simple & pure miracle for all of her family. She married her sweetheart, Joe Masnica, on August 28, 1982 with the promise of a long & loving union. She graduated in 1977 from Highland High School.\nRuth worked various jobs while seeking her true calling. For 19+ years, she worked for the Utah Board of Education in several positions, which included helping hearing impaired children as well as a financial systems analyst. Her tremendously caring nature for children and their needs was a driving force in her success. \nRuthie and Joe were best friends first. Few of us can make that claim. In their relationship, 1+1=1. They enjoyed and experienced many activities and interests together, including Sugar Bear and Teddy Bear, their constant canine companions.\nRuth is survived by her loving husband, Joe; her brothers and sisters of the heart (cousins), Pat Cecala, Lynn Pelletier, Edith Acey, Eileen Baird, Kathy Tsutsui, and Steven McCarty. Preceded in death by her mother; her aunt (and second mom) Ruth McCarty; sister and brother of the heart, Virginia McCarty and Allen McCarty.\nA viewing, where friends and family may extend their condolences to Joe & Ruthie’s extended family, will be held from 1-3 p.m. on Saturday, March 10, 2007, at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 So. State Street.
