He was the fifth child of 11 children and spent his young adult life learning mechanics and working to help his mother with the rest of his siblings as his father passed away when he was only 16. He was referred to as Charlie the Mechanic and he can fix anything that has a motor. His knowledge and skills in mechanics, even though he only completed Jr. High School enabled him to become a Mechanic teacher in Liahona High School and the head of the Transportation Department and the Security Dept. for a number of years until he retired. He served in different positions within The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.\r\n\r\nSalesi met and married his sweetheart ‘Ana Patiola Fekitoa on November 29th, 1962. They got sealed in the Hawaii Temple on March 30th 1963. Salesi’s children are Sela Mafi, Aaron Hansen, Sione Tuita, Lorna Linda, Petueli Mafi, Tukuange Lu’isa, Sione Kinikinilau Moli, Nimilote Moli, Salesi Jr. Mele Tupou (granddaughter) He is a grandfather to 37 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.\r\n\r\nSalesi passed away on June 14th, 2020. He lived a full and fruitful life. Charlie had a cheerful disposition towards life and he worked hard for everything he wanted and needed and to provide for his family. People who remember him always remember him with a smile on his face. He was a man of endurance and stamina and he was a great father.
