During her last week here on this earth she developed an upper respiratory infection that her weak, frail body could not fight off. She was 86 years old. \r\nShirley was born November 1, 1934 to Milton & Delsa Orr in Salt Lake City, Utah. She married Kay Lamar Adamson on August 18, 1955, later divorced. Shirley graduated from Cyprus High School in 1951. She raised four good children and taught us all to be honest, kind and hard working. In her later years she worked as the payroll manager for Skaggs Alpha Beta and as a title clerk for Guardian Title. She was a hard worker and took great pride in her accounting skills. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. \r\nOur mom was the sweetest little lady around. She loved gardening, sewing and ceramics, she always kept a spotless home and she loved basketball. She was an avid Jazz and University of Utah fan. The favorite of many were her traditional Christmas Eve parties, always complete with plenty of good food and of course a visit from Santa. \r\nShirley is survived by her four children, Ron, Steve (Cathy), Cindy (Mark) and Carrie (Darrin). She had 8 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. \r\nWe wish to give a special thanks to Beehive homes; Rebecca, Melissa, Joy, Tina and staff. And Elevation Hospice: Alissa, Miriam, Cheri and Staff. We were very blessed with wonderful care takers through this journey with our sweet mom and we are very grateful for the love and care she was given. \r\nFuneral services will be held at the LDS church building located at 9800 South Dunsinane Drive in South Jordan, Utah at 11:00 am on Saturday April 10, 2021. There will be a viewing prior for family and friends from 10:00 am to 10:45 am. Interment will follow at Valley View Memorial Cemetery, 4335 W 4100 S, West Valley City, Utah.
